“Bala” hits Indian bookstores

My humorous novel “Bala Takes the Plunge” is now available in bookstores around India. We had a launch in Chennai on Aug. 20. Below are a few pics from the launch, where I had a panel discussion with Chennai humorists Krish Ashok and Indu Balachandran.

If you enjoy my humor columns, I’m certain you’ll like the novel. You can pick up a copy at most Indian bookstores or online at FlipKart or IndiaPlaza.  (If you live in other countries, you should be able to buy the book online in a couple of months.) Thank you for your support.

If you enjoyed this piece, you'll love Melvin's novel Bala Takes the Plunge, available in North America through Amazon.com and McNallyRobinson.com You can also find it at major bookstores in India and Sri Lanka or online at FlipKart, IndiaPlaza, FriendsofBooks or other sites. A number of readers have written reviews of the novel. An excerpt of the novel can be read here.

  2. Congrats Melivin! I will ask my b-i-l in Chennai to buy a copy for me as I am headed there just before Deepavali. I also see that Krish Ashok was there for your book opening – I came across his blog over a year ago and definitely like his style of humor! 🙂

  3. This is fantastic! Wonder why there was no such event in Mumbai 😦
